Wren Noir’s Cliffside Farm

Oh oh what a wonderful article and stunning photography skills! My gosh, Whiskey picked up on EVERYthing I think when I go ‘home’ in SL!

Confession: I am a windlight addict. I bet many of you are, too. I can spend hours cycling through windlights; I take every photo in multiple lights. For each photo that I post here or on my Flickr feed, I’ve taken at least thirty others in different lights. And it’s not just when I’m taking photos – every time I land somewhere new, I check to see what the region looks like in their preset windlight, and then I play around to find what I like best. Then I forget why I landed there and wander around aimlessly until I either remember or find something else shiny to look at. Wren Noir’s home is a windlight lover’s dream.

A beautiful SL world

cropped-wrens-nest-logo-3-smaller.jpg

The last couple of months have flown in such a beautiful trajectory since {wren’s nest} opened on February 23rd, 2017.

In this short time, the most amazing people have entered my SL world and have shared themselves, their expertise and their kindness so willingly.

It began with Carrie Snowpaw of Snowpaw’s who decided to ‘pay it forward’ and gave me an opportunity to set up shop inside her beautiful inworld store: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/193274

Followed by the talented Jane Evolove of Evolove poses who believed in my product and gave me a chance to showcase it on on the sim and at The Avenue monthly event on the same sim.

Then Zuri Rayna of Zuri’s and Daphne Bearsfoot of FreeRiders World Track also offered their locations.

Dimples Nightingale of .BLUSH. also came into the picture with her great mesh building talent.  And Hattie Panacek of Ex Machina too!

Event organizers and customers continued this wave of support and belief in the quality of { wren’s nest } products. My gratitude is immense for all.

Above all, I am humbled by the continued lesson that it is presented in both SL and RL: Kindness is a small thing that has the greatest repercussions. This does not mean that one must offer something like an object or an opportunity or even money, but rather that a kind word, a positive suggestion, a belief in someone. These intangibles and then more have been given by my wonderful friend, Zoz Icon of {ZOZ} whose support and always a positive word is beyond measure.

This feels like a very long ‘thank you’ list. it is so lucky to find one such person, but this many is like a little dream.

Looking forward to a journey together with you all!

Please accept my grateful heart for your support at the beginning of this journey ❤

FashionArt: When Fashion Meets Art

Oh here is an event to get behind!

Designers pushing the limits of fashion as art.  Love this idea!  And it comes from the very talented designer at Legal Insanity, Datrip Blackbart.  You can check out more info here: http://legal-insanity1.jimdo.com/glamourist-events/

Want to see a bit of what you can find?

Honestly, I fell in love with this “Bluma” hair from Zibska from the first moment I saw her post on Flickr.  “I want that!” were the first words out of my mouth, so I’m super happy to have had a chance to blog about it.  It comes in all her super artsy colors and with the hair base too.  J’adore!

The “Rain” outfit from Aly’s Shop is spunky, cute, and fun!  It comes with the dress, umbrella, necklace, AND the booties.  Can’t beat that!

The FashionArt nail set from Nailed it! has a fabulous selection of famous paintings to choose from.  The Mona Lisa, The Scream, and many more that you will recognize when you see them.

This is only one small sample of what you will find at this event.  I’d head over there if I were you! 😉

Pass It Forward

Snapshot_003 copy

Some time ago I was stunned by an amazing photo on Flickr. It took my breath away. As I often do, I decided to write to the creator of that image and tell them what an amazing job they did. I do that often. I even do it to strangers in RL if I notice something amazing about them.

The first time I ever did this I was at a RL mall. I saw a rather young woman with the most gorgeous pure white hair EVER — no tinge of yellow or any other unwelcome tint. Just pure white. I mustered up my courage, went up to her and told her so. She was absolutely delighted and squealed that she was going to tell her mother what this ‘stranger’ had said as her mother had been urging her to color it because it made her look old. It did not! She was stunning with gorgeous skin (Winter tones) and that hair! Maybe I was even a bit jealous and wished I would go prematurely white (not grey!) too.

After that, I did it more often. Always I was met with a positive response in a situation where someone really could reasonably look at me like I am totally out of my mind.

But, going back to the lovely Flickr photo …

The artist behind the image was non other than Datrip Blackheart, the creator behind the fabulous Legal Insanity line. A brilliant designer, to be sure. And his response to my compliment about his photo was so genuine and humble. It was refreshing to meet yet another really wonderful person in SL. For this reason I decided to support Legal Insanity — the designer is nice! You can find them here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Legal%20Insanity/120/143/34.

Pictured is the Damayanti robe de soir which comes in a variety of colors. Love love love it.

VISIONAIRE Graduates!

VISIONAIRE Graduates!

It has taken me a few days to put myself together. The graduation of the first VISIONAIRE students was wonderful and I admit that I cried. I’m going to miss meeting with everyone, but I know we will still stay in touch. If you missed the graduation and/or the exhibit at the Penumbra sim, you can still catch their mini-galleries at this location: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/New/166/225/3003 Be sure to follow them on Flickr (any of their wonderful works are not at the exhibit due to space and prim considerations).

Congratulations: Anouk Lefavre, Eva Cross, Imani Enzo, Liat Reina, Mari Firelight, Polly Elan, Prisilla S. Avro, Seashell Dench, Solde Rothmanay, and Tamara Artis.

FineSmith Botanic (Aqua)

Spring is in the air!  FineSmith brings us flowers with the Botanica collection — which comes in many lovely colors (the photo is aqua).  The ensemble features a head wreath, earrings, and necklace.  You can see a bit of the dress called Spring as well.

I’m feeling it!  It’s great to burst forth from the snuggly confines of Winter!

VISIONAIRE Institute first graduating class

Here’s a wee teaser for an event you won’t want to miss.  See what the Visionaire students have been up to as they showcase their work each in their own gallery for their final show.  Stroll down the street, look at art, sit and chat with a friend in a lovely surrounding.  And there’s more surprises in store for you too! …
