I have been so fortunate that the lovely Vera Fenutzini asked me to sponsor her as a photographer for the Miss Virtual World Contest. Poor Vera had to fight hard. At first I resisted doing it. My reason was that I just don’t have the time. But she persisted! And persisted some more. Finally, I gave in because, well, she was persistent, but mostly because she was so darned cute about it! Anyone could take a lesson from Vera, they really could, me included. She is always polite. Always. She calls me “Miss Wren,” and I must ask her to just call me Wren and drop the ‘Miss,’ but so far I’ve just been too busy snapping pictures of her to have a proper conversation. She always comes to me with a very clear idea of what she would like: she tells me her vision, she sends me inspiration pictures, she even has her own poses ready. She makes my job so easy.
I hope I do a good job by her. A few of the MVW challenges give points for the photography and there are such talented photographers that are sponsoring some of the other contestants that I am duly intimidated. So, basically, I want to thank Vera for giving me this opportunity, insisting on it even, and for believing in me. I believe in you too, Vera, and hope you go very very far. You are lovely inside and out!
